Hi, I'm Marcus Hollinger, a student at The University of Kansas studying Journalism with an Emphasis in Strategic Communication.
Currently a senior at The University of Kansas, I am studying journalsim with an emphasis in strategic communication. I am fresh off an exciting summer spent at MediaCom NY where I was an intern involved in developing partnerships for Audi of America as they entered into a new phase of messaging for their latest releases: the A8 and A7 models. Though Audi was my primary assignment, I quickly became involved in developing a new business pitch working alongside the digital analytics, consumer insights and traditional media teams to develop a media strategy I am confident will add to MediaCom's already impressive client list. My recent experiences have opened my eyes to the possibilites in digital innovations, strategic planning, media planning and consumer insights. As graduation nears, I will seek to find internships and entry level advertising and marketing postions with high learning curves in those areas.

As an intern at MediaCom I was contributed in these ways:
- Communications planning for Audi of America, with both traditional and digital media teams
- Compiling and analyzing industry trends for new business pitch initiatives
- Compiling weekly auto-market updates to keep the Audi team sharp on client and competitor activities
I also completed training modules, learning Kantar Media: Stradey and MRI database navigation and I received Google Agency Land training.

Serving under the title of leasing agent, primarily I act as one of the first impressions prospective residents encounter once they become interested in the property. Touring, customer service and file management are among my daily task around the office. Applying my skills in strategic communications, it is my primary duty to communicate the value behind Asset Campus' property specifically at The Connection at Lawrence location.
I have been fortunate enough to become a "senior community assistant" largely because of past experience in event planning and community out reach I gained working in student housing and at other properties as well.
Having been fortunate to work under visionary leadership and a throughly involved corporate team I have come to appreciate real estate marketing and leasing. I will definitely look develop more in this area after completing my undergraduate degree.
Media Relations Volunteer at Big 12 Conference

I had a great deal of fun and learned a lot about professional etiquette working with the Big 12's Media Relations crew.
My duties were to deliver stats and information to media outlet representatives attending the 2011 Big 12 Championship games for the duration of the tournament. I also got to enjoy an amazing week of basketball.
My eyes were opened to the world of sports and I will never forget this experience.
